Pinpoint Projects Ltd. will provide you with a quotation which will set out work to be carried out and will include a breakdown of all costs. We will also discuss payment schedules and timings for the work. In order to proceed you will need to accept our quotation in writing.
Once commenced, any changes or additions to the work will be charged as agreed by both parties. Materials and goods supplied will remain the property of Pinpoint Projects Ltd. until work is completed, and the full invoice has been paid by the customer.
Cancellation
Where possible we will discuss a project if you need to change timescales, but it is not always possible to delay a project without sufficient notice. Once you have agreed the work, we will schedule time and resources to complete it and therefore you need to ensure that you are able for the work to start on this date.
There is a ‘cooling off’ period as specified under your consumer rights, but this does not apply to items which have been specially ordered or made – for example, windows, doors etc.
For full information please see https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/getting-home-improvements-done/cancelling-building-or-decorating-work/
Cancelling if the work’s started; If you asked for the service to be provided during the cooling-off period, you’ll have to pay a part of the agreed price. The amount will depend on how much was completed when you asked to cancel. (Please see below cancellation charges).
Cancellation charges
If for whatever reason you decide not to go ahead once our contract has been agreed, you will be breaking the agreement therefore the following charges will apply;
Before work has started: A 5% cancellation charge (5% of the total labour costs) – this will be payable immediately to Pinpoint Projects Ltd. for loss of profit caused by the cancellation.
After work has started: If you decide to cancel a job after contracts are signed and work has already begun, you will be charged for the following: 5% cancellation fee (5% of the total labour cost) plus labour costs up until the time you cancel. You may be charged for any items installed or fitted that can’t be removed without damaging them and the return of any items that have been delivered but not installed (or can be easily uninstalled).
